RESIDENTS at Elm Bank Care Home in Hexham enjoyed a visit from a special guest last week.
Susie the lamb was brought in by senior carer Alison Watson, and proved popular amongst residents.
The home's activities coordinator, Amanda Takser, explained that many of the residents came from a farming background.
She said: "Alison, whose one of our senior carers, thought it would be a good idea to bring in a lamb for the residents to hold and feed.
"They've really enjoyed it. It's brought back a lot of memories because a lot of them are from farming backgrounds.
"It makes them feel quite happy, and it helps them to talk about their past."
