A CALL has gone out for businesses large and small to recognise the contribution their staff make.
The talent of employees from across the region will be recognised in nine categories, including Best Apprentice, Unsung Hero, Team of the Year and the Leadership Award, in the annual North East Employee of the Year Awards.
Organisers are urging people to nominate colleagues who they feel make an invaluable contribution to their businesses. Nominations from managers, directors and board members are also welcomed for employees who deserve special recognition, or who have already won awards within the company.
Tesco Underwriting have once again agreed to headline sponsor the event. Nicky Sutherland, Tesco Underwriting head of HR and development, said: “We see these awards as a true celebration of individuality and a brilliant opportunity for businesses in the region to recognise the contribution and talent of their people. They are certainly something we look forward to, and it’s great to see them back in action for 2019.”
The event will take place on November 29 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, in the Stephenson Quarter in Newcastle and is being organised by events company, The Events Hero.
