A Haltwhistle man has pleaded guilty to assault
A MAN has been given a community order after appearing in court.
James Harmieson (47) of The Mart, Haltwhistle, faced two charges at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court on Thursday of assault by beating and one count of criminal damage to property, relating to incidents in Haltwhistle, on February 9 and 20.
He pleaded guilty and was handed a 12-month community order and a restraining order against the victim. He was also ordered to pay a £50 fine, an £85 victim surcharge, costs of £45 and £15 compensation.
