A MOTORIST has been disqualified from driving for two weeks after pleading guilty to speeding.

Anthony Mooney (48) of Western Way, Ponteland, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court in Bedlington on Tuesday, April 30.

He faced one charge of speeding after exceeding a 30mph speed limit.

Mooney pleaded guilty to the charge, and was ordered to pay a fine of £80, an £80 victim surcharge, and £85 costs.

He was also disqualified from driving for 14 days.

The charge related to an incident on November 10 last year, on Barrack Road in Newcastle.
