NEARLY £10,000 has been raised to support the family of a mum-of-four whose body was discovered in Wylam.
Sorrelle Bamford (38) was reported missing at around 10am last Tuesday after last being seen at an address on Chesters Gardens in Crawcrook.
But on Thursday afternoon search teams discovered her body on the banks of the River Tyne at Wylam.
A JustGiving fund-raising page has been set up to raise money to support Sorrelle's family, as well as "giving her the send off she deserves".
And family, friends and well-wishers have managed to raise £9,674 in just five days, nearly doubling the page's £5,000 target.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "We do not believe there is any third party involvement in this death and a report has now been prepared for the coroner."
