POLICE have said they do not believe there was any third party involvement in the death of a woman whose body was discovered in Wylam.
Sorrelle Bamford (38) was reported missing at 9.55am on Tuesday after last being seen at an address on Chesters Gardens in Crawcrook.
But on Thursday afternoon search teams discovered a body on the banks of the River Tyne at Wylam. Although formal identification has not yet taken place, police said they believe the woman is mum-of-four Sorrelle.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "We do not believe there is any third party involvement in this death and a report has now been prepared for the coroner."
