POLICE are appealing for information after a bird was shot in Hexhamshire last week.
A spokesman from Northumbria Police said: "At about 11.30am, April 26, police received a report of an injured buzzard in Steel, Hexham."
The bird was taken to a wildlife sanctuary where it was discovered it had been shot. The bird was later put down following its injuries.
Officers are asking anyone with information to contact the police on 101 and quote crime reference number 348 26/04/19.
