A HEXHAM man’s passion for local history has been captured in a collaborative digital project.
Stocksfield writer Rachel Cochrane has fulfilled her long-held ambition for her entertainment podcast, listenupnorth, by interviewing Dr Stan Beckensall, who this year was awarded the MBE for his services to prehistoric rock art and history.
Rachel worked with radio producer Anne Painter, also of Stocksfield, to record Dr Beckensall among his library of books in his Hexham home.
The podcast was the latest instalment of more than 200 writers who have been given a platform to share their creative stories and poetry.
Rachel said: “A wider audience can now appreciate the captivating anecdotes relating to Stan’s work and hear his poetry, all inspired by living in Northumberland.”
