TEMPERATURES in Tynedale are set to soar as high as 21C over the Easter weekend.
On Friday, any mist and low cloud is expected to disappear leaving a dry and bright day with temperatures of up to 18C.
But the hottest temperatures are likely on Saturday, when Hexham is predicted to be warmer than Barcelona, hitting 21C. With Haltwhistle's outdoor pool preparing to open for spring on Saturday, crowds and bathing suits can be expected in high numbers as people flock to make the most of the sunshine.
It is expected to remain dry and bright throughout the weekend and on Easter Monday, with the Bank Holiday bringing temperatures of up to 18C.
