PEOPLE in Tynedale are being asked to keep their eyes open for squirrels for a spring survey.
The charity Northeast Red Squirrels is launching its two-week survey from April 12 to April 26, with people being asked to report all sightings of red and grey squirrels.
Those who have spotted squirrels are asked to let the charity know the type, number and location of them by emailing northeastrs@yahoo.co.uk, phoning or texting 07878061880, or via the charity’s Facebook page.
