PUPILS at a rural school were visited by a news reporter from the Hexham Courant.
David Coulter, the newspaper's audience and content editor, headed to Greenhaugh First School to teach Class 2 about journalism skills, such as shorthand and how to write news articles.
Alice Nixon, Class 2 teacher, said: "It has been a fantastic, educational experience for the children.
"The children have been really engaged as they have extended their literacy skills."
