FOUR Triathletes from Prudhoe’s Castle Tri Club have returned from a cycling trip to Mitry Mory, twinned with the Tynedale Town.

Gavin Appleby, Jane Johnson, Kerry Burnyeat and Sam Hodgson were invited and welcomed by Mayoress Charlotte Blandiote-Faride and the Mitry Mory town twinning committee.

During their visit, they took part in the Cyclos Mytriens Club de Mitry-Mory for their 10th annual Rallye Henri Harduin club ride with 350 other riders.

The quartet were also able to meet the club’s oldest member, world record holder Robert Marchand, still cycling at 108 years old.
