POLICE are appealing for information after a quad bike was stolen from a farm in Allenheads.
Offenders gained entry to a barn and removed the black and red Honda 250 ATV between 6pm on Saturday, March 30 and 8am the following morning.
Tracks on the ground suggested that the quad was loaded into a waiting trailer, parked in a layby on the Rookhope Road.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "At 9.10am on March 31 we received a report a premises in Allenheads, Northumberland had been broken into.
“Officers attended the scene where it appeared a burglary had taken place.
“It is believed that the offender gained entry at some point overnight by damaging the lock to the door before stealing a red and black Honda ATV and leaving the scene.
“Inquiries are currently ongoing and anyone with information should contact police by calling 101 quoting log 256 31/03/19.”
