A MAN has appeared in court facing eight separate charges.

David Walker (59) of King Johns Court, Darras Hall, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates on Friday. It is alleged Walker charged for repairs on two vehicles, but the maintenance was never carried out.

The charges include four counts of being a trader engaging in commercial practice which was misleading, two counts of knowingly or recklessly engaging in a commercial practice under unfair trading regulations, and two counts of fraud. The charges relate to alleged incidents in January and June 1 last year.

Walker made no plea in court. The case was adjourned until April 12.
