A DRIVER was more than three times over the legal limit for alcohol.
Christine Morris, (59) of Charlton Cottages, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
She faced one charge of driving a motor vehicle when above the legal limit for alcohol.
The charge related to an incident on February 23 on the A6079 at Wall. Morris had 117mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath when tested, exceeding the legal limit of 35mg.
Morris pleaded guilty to the charge, and was handed a 12 month community order and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
She also had to pay an £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs, as well as being banned from driving for 28 months.
