HALTWHISTLE'S West Road is due to be closed throughout the day for five days while resurfacing work takes place.
The closure concerns the Station Road/ West Road junction through to A69/ B6322 junction road, and will be closed from Monday, March 25 to Friday, March 29 between 7am and 5pm.
A spokeswoman from Northumberland County Council said: "There shall be no through road on the B6322, however there will be a signed alternative route.
"Residents and businesses within the closure will be directed one of two ways depending on the position of the works within the closure limits."
The authority has advised people to prevent from parking vehicles on the road whilst resurfacing work takes place.
