A WOMAN has been banned from driving for 18 months after she was caught driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Rosie Scott (19) of The Lairege, Ponteland, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court last Thursday.

The charge relates to an incident on February 16, when she had 65mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mg.

She pleaded guilty to driving when her alcohol level was above the limit and was fined £260, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £30.
