A COMMUNITY group is appealing for more members to take part in keeping the town clean.
Priestlands Residents Group, which is made up of volunteers, are a team of local residents cleaning and improving the Hexham estate.
The group has several areas it regularly focuses on and have recently helped install new streetlights at Priestland Dene, a new bin and noticeboard on the Priestlands estate as well as regular litter picks.
With already over 100 members on its Facebook page, and the dedicated support of local councillor Trevor Cessford, the group are hoping more people can help out on the streets and improve the area.
The group meet every few months on Thursday at 7pm at the Hexham Fire Station.
