Malcolm Morano
A MAN has been jailed for 12 and a half years after pleading guilty to sexually abusing a young girl more than 30 years ago.
Malcolm Morano, of Gilsland, pleaded guilty to six counts of rape and one count of indecent assault at Newcastle Crown Court on January 28.
The 64-year-old initially denied the offences before changing his plea to guilty.
He will serve half his sentence before becoming eligible for his release.
