THE fire service dealt with three fires believed to have been started deliberately at the weekend.
On Saturday a fire engine from Hexham attended Eastwood Grange in the town where a small woodland fire had been started. Northumberland Fire and Rescue service believed this had been started deliberately.
And on Sunday, shortly after midnight, firefighters were called to Adderlane Road in Prudhoe where three sheds had been set on fire. Northumbria Police said no one was injured and inquiries were ongoing.
And later that day, at 5.20pm, three fire engines attended a fire which had been started at a boarded up building on Corbridge Road, Hexham. Police were made aware and Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service has launched an investigation.
