Woman's body found in Allenheads
THE body of an elderly woman was found in Allenheads on Monday.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: “At about 7am on Monday, March 4, police received a report that an 77-year-old woman had been found deceased in Allenheads.
“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner.”
The woman’s body was found outside the village’s former post office.
