PUPILS at a Tynedale school got kitted out in their brightest colours as part of a day held to support two charities.
Children at Mowden Hall school celebrated ‘go orange for a day’ in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK.
The event focused on bringing individuals, families and professionals together to fight muscle-wasting conditions.
Other youngsters opted to get dressed up in blue for JDRF UK – a charity which specialises in type 1 diabetes and funds world-class medical research aimed at curing, treating and preventing it.
As well as wearing orange and blue, children and staff at the school also supported a cake sale in aid of the charities.
Children were thrilled that their cake sale raised a total of £679.10 to be split between the two charities.
