A PENSIONER has been banned from driving for 14 months after pleading guilty to drink driving.
Terrence McGarrigle (74) of Tyneview Terrace, Hexham, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates Court on Thursday.
He faced one charge of driving when above the legal alcohol limit, with the charge relating to an incident on Saturday, December 29. McGarrigle had 45mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, with the legal limit set at 35mg.
As well as being disqualified from driving for 14 months, McGarrigle was fined £120, and ordered to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of of £30.
