A MAN robbed a post office after threatening staff with a used drugs needle.
At Newcastle Crown Court this week, Stephen Jarvis (21), of Greenholme Road, Haltwhistle, was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for robbing the town's post office on September 10 last year. He was sentenced to 10 months' imprisonment, to run concurrently, for possessing an article with a point.
He pleaded guilty to both charges.
