A HEXHAM veterinary surgery is preparing to host a charity talent show in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
Scott Mitchell Associates has lent its name to Scott Mitchell’s Got Talent, with both staff and clients set to show off their skills in front of a panel of judges – all in aid of the Great North Air Ambulance.
The event will be held at Hexham Mart’s Farmer Function Suite on Friday.
It’s not the first time the surgery has pulled out all the stops to raise money for charity.
Practice manager Jayne Longlands said: “Two years ago we did Scott Mitchell does Strictly Come Dancing, where we had clients dancing with staff.
“This is a follow up to that, with a different twist. There’s going to be a lot of talent on show.
“We chose the air ambulance because quite a number of farmers have been airlifted to hospital. We’re a rural county so it affects us all.
“We raised more than £5,600 last time so it would be great if we could beat that.”
A number of acts will be performing for the judges, who are all ex-young farmers from Tynedale.
Tickets for the event are £25, which include a two-course dinner, full evening’s entertainment and disco, with all proceeds going to the air ambulance. There will also be a raffle on the night, with a wide range of prizes already donated.
