THE weather has caused widespread disruption across the district, with a dozen school transport services cancelled due to the snow.
Most of the affected services were from the North Tyne, although the bus from Lambley to Brampton was only able to run from Haltwhistle.
A full list of cancelled services can be found at www.northumberland.gov.uk/Alerts.
Meanwhile an additional yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office.
The warning for snow and ice is in place from 12pm on Friday until 12pm on Saturday, with road and rail services likely to be affected.
In addition, the weather service has also issued a weather warning for snow and ice on Monday, covering the likes of Otterburn and Rochester as well as Greenhead.
The yellow warning is in place from midnight until 2pm on Monday.
