1, Crown Inn, Humshaugh
Jambo Watters, on Facebook, said: "The Crown in Humshaugh is fantastic. Good food, very good beers and near perfect Guiness. Sunday lunches are bang on and the extra events weekly and monthly are incredible. 10/10."

Lynda Devlin, on Facebook, said: "I like going to the Black Bull at Matfen; Ali and Nidge are great hosts, very friendly and great cooks too. My husband says the beer and lager is kept very well, and it stocks Fentimans soft drinks. Real fires in winter, garden in summer. Car park available. Other customers make us welcome each time we go. All the ingredients for a pleasant visit."
