A FORMER England international has been enjoying a spot of skiing in the Allen Valleys.
Former Durham and England cricketer Paul Collingwood posted videos of the ski slope at Allenheads on Instagram.
The two tows at the slope have been running since Wednesday, with conditions said to be surprisingly good.
Collingwood said on Instagram: "Just need a few schnapps now! How cute is this place at Allenheads. Amazing community feel about it and its being going for decades. Very friendly helpful people."
Allenheads isn't the only place in the district that has had enough snow to allow skiers onto the slopes this week.
Yad Moss, high above Alston, also saw skiers and snowboarders in action on Wednesday, although a lack of snowfall meant it had to close again on Thursday.
The slope's website does say that there's a possibility of reopening the slopes on the weekend, if more snow falls before Saturday.
