A BUSINESS park is expanding to meet demand from local firms.
Mark Tully, the owner of Beaufront Business Park, in Hexham, has revealed that eight further units have been created to allow more businesses use the site.
Mr Tully took over the site in 2014 after the property was purchased out of liquidation, and more than £1.5m has been invested in the park.
Each of the new eight units can be adapted for office use, a workshop or storage space.
Mr Tully said: “I pride myself in giving the businesses that use our facilities what they need and not what they are told they can have.
“The future is very much about small to medium-sized businesses, and we can accommodate their needs here in Beaufront. We’ve everything here; good road and rail links, free parking and flexible units customised to the individual businesses.”
One of the businesses to have benefited since moving to Beaufront is Fixings Electrical Plumbing. Managing director Gavin Waugh said: “We moved because our previous landlord sold the building and Beaufront Park had the most impressive facilities.
“We’ve now got a custom-made showroom with free parking and it’s a better location for our trade customers as it’s easier for them to get to.
“Business has improved significantly since the move.”
Mr Tully also manages space for Fentimans, Global International Forwarding, and Tynedale Hospice at Home, among others.
