ANTIQUES expert Paul Laidlaw will be making his annual trip to Haltwhistle next month.
A presenter on BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Paul has become a regular visitor to the town’s antiques valuation day in recent years, and this year’s event on February 1 is no exception.
The event takes place at Haltwhistle Library, on Westgate, from 10am to 3pm, with a charge of £2 per item valued.
All the money raised goes to Dementia Support at Haltwhistle.
The support group, of which Paul is a patron, works with people with dementia and their families.
Rosemary Kemble, who founded Dementia Support at Haltwhistle, said: “The day normally keeps us going for a year.
“We started it to raise funds to start the group and it’s been going for six of seven years now.
“I’ve known Paul for so long now.
“He brings in a lot of people.”
