POLICE are investigating after a car and a dog were stolen from an address in Haydon Bridge.
The dog has since been recovered by officers following the theft on Friday, January 18.
However, the car and the offender have not been found.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "At about 3.50pm on Friday, police received a report of a theft of vehicle in Haydon Bridge.
"The incident took place at a premises in Haydon Bridge after a black Volkswagen Touareg estate was stolen.
"The owner’s dog was also in the vehicle when it was stolen but has since been recovered by officers.
"Enquiries are now ongoing to trace both the car and the offender."
