MOTORISTS in South Tynedale are being advised to avoid a section of the A69 after a serious road accident.
Cumbria Police said emergency services, including the air ambulance service, are attending the scene of the collision between Low Row and the Northumberland border.
The one vehicle collision happened at 3.50pm on the westbound carriageway.
Police said congestion was inevitable and are asking people to avoid the area if possible.
