A DEVASTATED fiancée has appealed for information about how her partner was killed.
Nigel Li (30), a fiberglass worker from Ponteland, was on his way to work in Wallsend on January 3, when he was killed in a collision on the A19.
Police enquiries are ongoing to establish how Mr Li came to be hit by the car after getting out of his car in a lay-bay.
And fiancée Kirsty Dane and sister Rachel Li are pleading for anyone with information about the collision to come forward.
Kirsty said: "We feel like we can't 100% grieve because we are still yet to know what happened to him."
Kirsty had been dating Nigel for around five years after they met at the autombile centre at Gateshead College.
The pair were set to marry in Orlando, Florida later this year.
Kirsty added:"Everyone who meets him only has good things to say about him.
"He does everything for everyone else before he does it for himself.
"Nothing in life was taken too seriously, everything was done with a smile."
