A woman who was found dead outside the Derwent Manor Hotel in Allensford on Sunday has been named.
The body of tattoo artist Emma McNally (36), from Rotherham, was found outside the hotel at around 5am.
The death of the 36-year-old is currently being treated as unexplained but there is not believed to be any third party involvement.
A Northumbria Police spokesman said: "Police received a report from the ambulance service at 5.15am on Sunday, January 6, reporting the death of a woman outside the Derwent Manor Hotel in Allensford."
An inquest was opened by South Northumberland coroner Eric Armstrong and a post-mortem into the cause of death will take place.
