THE owner of a dog boarding service has teamed up with two local businesses to raise funds for assistance dogs.
Carrie Jarvis runs Barking Mad, which sees guest pooches paired up with dog-loving host families in their homes, while their owners are away.
At a Christmas party for the hosts held at Close House Golf Club, she raffled a cushion donated by well known Corbridge artist, Alex Clark, and artisan dog treats made in Prudhoe by Hannah Connolly of The Snack Pawtal as well as donations from local supermarkets.
They helped raise a total of £600 to support Dogs for Good, a charity which helps bring assistance dogs together with adults and children with mobility issues, autism and dementia.
Carrie said: “It’s lovely to be able to support a charity that enhances lives by bringing people and dogs together.”
