A TOTAL of 60 bands will play over three days in Tynedale’s newest music festival at an ice cream parlour.
The first Scoop Music Festival will take place at Wheelbirks Parlour, near Stocksfield, on Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14, next year.
Run by Events85, the event is being billed as ‘an independent, family-run family music festival’ which will feature music from unsigned music acts from across the North-East.
In addition to the bands, there will be a DJ tent, a children’s dance stage, areas for poetry reading, yoga, comedians, food and drinks stalls, children’s entertainment and plenty of space for people to camp out.
The festival announced its first wave of bands for the weekend, with artists covering many music genres from rock, heavy metal, blues, soul, punk and indie. Some early highlights include Fallen Mafia, Thieves of Liberty, The Rigit Digits, Dead Poets 86 and The Four Colour Ghosts.
Events85 organises music festivals, markets and community events, and introduced the Red Dust Music Festival in Consett in August.
Tickets are available from Scoop Music Festival 2019’s Facebook account.
