RESIDENTS are being urged to be vigilant after diesel was stolen from tanks on farm land in Whalton.
It happened between 9pm on Saturday and 6.30am on Sunday morning when offenders targeted the village, near Belsay.
Anyone who saw or heard any suspicious people or vehicles in the area at the time is asked to contact police.
Officers can be contacted on 101, quoting reference number 323 of the 02/12/18.
