A CLUB aimed at developing children’s computer programming skills has received a financial boost from local Rotarians.
Hadrian’s Wall Rotary donated £500 to the Hexham Kids Coding Dojo to fund a meeting space for children aged between seven and 17 to these new skills.
The funding will allow the sessions, held in the Prior’s Hall in Hexham Abbey on the last Saturday of every month between 10am and midday, to be free of charge to children interested in learning new skills.
The children gave a presentation to rotary president Chris Baylis following a workshop in the morning.
In addition to the funding, Hadrian’s Wall Rotary will continue to support the Coding Dojo along with other community projects in Haltwhistle, Haydon Bridge and Hexham area.
