A VAN driver whose vehicle overturned in a crash has miraculously only suffered minor injuries.
Police and emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision on the A69 near Haydon Bridge on Monday night.
The road was completely blocked by the crash, which took place at 6.36pm.
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "At 6.36pm on Monday, we received a report of a two-vehicle road collision involving a car and a van, on the A69 at Haydon Bridge.
"Officers and emergency services attended the scene where a van had come to rest on its roof and the road was completely blocked in both directions.
"The driver of the van was later taken to hospital with injuries thought to be minor.
"Both vehicles were recovered and the road fully reopened at around 9pm."
