NORTHUMBERLAND-BASED band Dansi, are headlining at the Brickyard in Carlisle, with proceeds from the gig going to stricken festival Solfest.
The Cumbrian festival ran into financial difficulties this year, and organisers need to raise £95,000 for next year’s event to happen.
Singer Wilf Stone said: “Basically ticket sales didn’t follow their projections. Nothing was apparent until this year’s event.
“We’ve played there a few times, it was our first proper gig.
“We just want to do our bit. It’s a bad situation to be in.
“We were booked by a fellow called Alan Whittaker, who sadly died last week. He really pushed us into where we are now. We wouldn’t be here otherwise.
“We’re absolutely looking forward to it. The Brickyard is a great venue.”
Tickets for the gig can be purchased through Solfest’s Facebook page.
