THE Co-op in Wylam has been targeted by burglars for the fourth time in two months.
Tynedale Neighbourhood Insp. Pam Bridges confirmed a burglary at the store on Main Road, just after 2am last Sunday, was the fourth since September.
Police responded to a report of intruders forcing entry to the premises by causing damage to the front window at the weekend. The offenders took bottles of alcohol and fled the scene on a motorbike. Some of the stolen items were left at the scene.
The Co-op had also been burgled on September 22, October 19 and November 14.
Anyone with information about any of the burglaries is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 134 of the 18/11/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on (0800) 555 111.
