TRAFFIC on the A69 was moving slowly on Thursday afternoon following a two vehicle crash near Bardon Mill.

Nobody was injured in the collision, but traffic was brought to a standstill as police officers cleared the road. 

A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police said: "At around 2.20pm today, police received a report of a collision on the A69 near Bardon Mill where a black Ford Fiesta and a red Volkswagen Golf collided.

"No one is believed to have been injured however, traffic is moving slowly whilst officers work to get the vehicles recovered."
