A MAN has pleaded guilty to robbing a Hexham newsagents last month.
Garry William Addison (36), who gave his address at St Helen's Gate, Hexham, pleaded guilty to robbery, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of assault by beating when he appeared at Newcastle Crown Court last Thursday.
The incident occurred at Peggs News, on Priestpopple, on Tuesday, October 9.
Addison will return to Newcastle Crown Court for sentencing on December 20.
