THE Queen’s Hall will be playing host to a night of award-winning comedy tomorrow.

The creator of BBC2’s Hebburn, Jason Cook, will be taking to the stage once again as master of ceremonies at Jason Cook’s Comedy Club, along with two special guests.

Jason’s cheerful Geordie exterior hides a dark, sharp comedic mind that leads to a close to the edge style of comedy.

Sunderland’s Matt Reed, whose affable style has won him fans across the UK, will be joining Jason on stage. Matt has gigs off all sizes under his belt, and is well known for skilfully destroying any hecklers in his path.

Also on the bill is self-confessed comedy geek Barry Dodds. Since taking to the comedy stage at 21, Barry has used a combination of irrepressibly-cheeky and surprisingly dark material to take the comedy circuit by storm. He also co-hosts the cult hit podcast The Parapod with Ian Boldsworth, discussing all things supernatural.

As usual, Jason will also be joined in the middle section of the evening by Glen Roughead for some music and chaos.

Jason last performed at the Queen’s Hall earlier this year. Tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm, are available from the Queen’s Hall’s website.
