NURSERY children in Hexham have received a gift from a local business.
Egger (UK) Ltd presented children at Kids 1st Hexham with a bespoke, hand carved sandpit featuring an owl, hedgehog, squirrel and hare after it was created at a recent open day held at the factory.
Nursery manager Sarah Scandle said: “Thank you to Egger for this very kind gift.
“It is absolutely amazing; not only is it a sandpit but also a work of art! The sandpit and accompanying toys will provide children with the opportunity to gain new skills through play and have fun at the same time.”
In addition to the sandpit and toys, Egger has also donated wooden planters.
