HEXHAM is looking to build on the success of last year’s poppy appeal during the centenary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the First World War.
Last year, the town’s efforts raised a total of £21,500 for the Royal British Legion. This year’s appeal will commence tomorrow, with poppies on sale throughout the town.
