MEMBERS of a Prudhoe male voice choir are seeking to uncover some history about their predecessors.
A plaque hanging in Prudhoe Methodist Church commemorates nine members of Prudhoe Gleemen who died during the First World War.
The choir is planning to sing a song as an act of remembrance before their practise session on Monday, November 12, and hopes to learn more about the men named on the plaque before Remembrance Day.
Neville Fairbairn, of Prudhoe Gleemen, said: “We thought it would be nice to see how many people named on the plaque had relatives still in Prudhoe.
“I have also put something up on the Facebook page to see if anyone knows of any Gleemen members who were killed during the Second World War.”
Members of the choir are encouraging anyone with information about themen to get in touch.
