POLICE are appealing for information after a burglary at the Co-op in Wylam.
Officers went to the scene after receiving the report at 4.10am on Friday morning, and found that the offenders had forced entry to the shop, causing damage to the front window.
Police said the offenders had gone through shelves before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: “Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved and establish what has been taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 108 19/09/18 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
