A PRUDHOE schoolgirl will appear in a new film when it is released later this year after being cast into one of the main roles.
Eight-year-old Jasmine Siddle travelled down to Sheffield to film ‘Bruce Willis’, by LTBL Productions, a film about a dog with the same name, two homeless men and a mute girl.
Jasmine, who attends Ovingham First School, found out about the role through a child modelling agency she was registered with, and following a number of audition video tapes she was given the part despite having no drama experience.
Her dad Jeff said: “She played the part of the mute girl, so she didn’t have any lines, but in many ways it’s just as hard. It’s being able to express the right emotion through the face and she managed that really well. Now she wants to start doing drama school as a hobby on the back of this.” The film is expected to appear at film festivals later this year.
