MOTORCYCLING freemasons have planted a generous donation for schoolchildren with learning difficulties.
The Northumberland Chapter of the Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association visited Hexham Priory School and handed over a cheque for £450 to help with its sensory garden.
The Widows Sons association is open to all freemasons in the county who enjoy motorcycling, and members work together to raise awareness of charities and local causes.
Around 15 members of the Northumberland group contributed to the grand total and visited the school.
Group president Mike Ewart said: “It’s been great seeing how charity donations like ours are spent at the school. Even small amounts have made a big difference to the children who are enjoying learning new things in this wonderful sensory garden.”
